Local land register

What is a Local Land Charge?
The council or central government can demand payment from successive owners or occupiers of property or land. These are called Local Land Charges. They can also be limits on the use of property or land. These include charges for such services as roads, or non-compliance of notices served.

Details of any charges that are registered to land and property in Southampton are listed in the council's Local Land Register.

You will also find other important non-financial information such as listed buildings and conservation areas in the register.
