Submitting plans
Before beginning work, you should, submit plans describing the work that you plan to undertake. There is a fee

Essential document and drawings
For planning consent, you need to supply detailed drawings of any modifications or new buildings; you would normally have these drawn up by an architect or a builder. If your application includes details of new buildings or extensions, you need to supply a detailed location plan showing dimensions and site boundaries in relation to neighbouring properties.

For building regulations approval you must supply plans (drawn to scale) that accurately show the existing building and proposed building works.

You need to supply enough information so that your intentions can be fully understood. It may be helpful to talk to a planning or building control officer before submitting any plans. For how to contact an officer visit the link on the left for planning permission or building regulations.

When you submit your application online please make sure that each document you send is less than 5mb in file size. You must make sure that the total file size (all files added together) for your application is not bigger than 2 20mb.
