The Core Strategy is an important plan as it sets the overall framework from which planning decisions are made. This framework includes geographical (or spatial) objectives such as what is built where,driven by a vision looking towards 2026. It will be a 'spatial expression' of the Sustainable Community Strategy, details of which are available from the Southampton Partnership. The Issues and Options Paper is the first stage of the process, consultation was conducted between May - July 2006.
