The Core Strategy is an important plan as it sets the overall development framework from which planning decisions are made. This framework includes geographical (or spatial) objectives such as what is built where, diven by a vision looking towards 2026. It will be a 'spatial expression' of the Sustainable Community Strategy (known as the City of Southampton Strategy), details of which are available from the Southampton Partnership. The Preferred Options Paper is the second stage of the process, consultation was conducted between October 24 - December 4 2006.
