Door supervisor licensing

Southampton City Council has no involvement in the licensing of security operatives - all enquiries should be directed to the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

It is illegal for anyone to act a door supervisor, or in one of the other regulated security roles, without being licensed by the SIA.

Information about the licensing process, complaints and information as to who holds licences can be obtained from:

The Security Industry Authority

The SIA no longer has a contact centre, nor does it publish a telephone number or email address - contact is via the SIA's contact form.
