Events, arts and heritage - Southampton Art Gallery, Art Lease
Let us introduce to you Artlease. This scheme offers you the opportunity to display works of art from the collection of Southampton City Art Gallery in your office environment and public spaces. There is a selection of nineteenth and twentieth century landscapes, portraits, seascapes and genre oil paintings, as well as traditional and modern works. Southampton City Art Gallery encourage the exhibition of the reserve collection in a variety of business venues and schools throughout the south-east region.
In addition to enhancing your working environment you will be investing in the preservation of historical works of art. Artlease income sponsors the conservation of paintings and frames, examined and treated prior to lease by Southampton City Art Gallery's Conservation Department in order to be displayed in the best condition. Artist labels are also provided for you.
The modest lease fees are based on a scale of insurance values. We also ask you to pay the one-off cost of perspex to glaze the paintings if required.
Clients are responsible for both installation and insurance cover while the works of art are on their premises. Southampton City Art Gallery arrange all transport and transit insurance, the costs of which are chargeable to the Client.
