Before and after school childcare

We give advice and support to Southampton families with children aged 0 to 19. We can help them find quality childcare in their area.

Children's library service

Children's play opportunities

We work with other children's organisations in the city to develop play opportunities.

Extended schools

An extended school provides a range of services and activities beyond the school day to help meet the needs of its pupils, their families and the wider community.

Instrument provision – assisted purchase scheme

Our service allows you to buy a musical instrument for your child without having to pay value added tax (VAT). This means that the instrument will cost 17.5% less than full price.

School holiday schemes

We provide info about things for children and young people to do in the school holidays.

The music service supports music in schools and provides instrumental and vocal tuition for Southampton children and young people. Five to 25-year-olds also have the chance to play in several bands run by the service.
