There are nearly 400 active Junior Wardens in Southampton where community works are at the heart of the scheme.

In the last year, 83 projects have been completed. Junior Wardens have raised £1300 for the National Deaf Children’s Society and carried out assorted activities in the community.

These include:

Recycling,
Environmental,
Estate improvements and garden projects,
Their own fire safety course undertaken by Hampshire Fire Services as well as supporting 12 community festivals.

During the last three years, Southampton's Junior Wardens have been awarded the MJ Streetscene Award, commended at the LGA Awards and won a Bronze from the NTRC for partnership working with the Hampshire Fire Services.

In the last year, 1,571 Junior Warden places have been filled and 102 new Junior Wardens have been enrolled.

This year will end with Juniors Wardens having parties to thank them for their commitment and hard work.
