Every year the government marks us and other councils on how we look after the children and young people in their area. Our results are published in a report called the Annual Performance Assessment. This document allows you to see how the council did this year.

Common Assessment Framework
The common assessment framework is a tool to support people who work with children. It is used to record information on the children and young people they work with. It aims to identify any needs that children may have and to reduce the number of times a child/family need to tell 'their story' to different services.
Joint Area Review
Southampton Children's Services underwent a Joint Area Review (JAR) by OfSTED and its partner Inspectorates during the Summer of 2007. This link takes you to pages detailing the outcome of the JAR and the response of local services to it. We are currently consulting partners on our JAR Action Plan that can also be found here.
Junior Joint Area Review
