Supporting children
This page tells you more about the work of our Supporting Children teams.
Who can use this service:
We work with children and families where there are safeguarding issues or a high level of need. We do not accept direct referrals. We receive cases from the Children's Assessment Team who take all new referrals for Southampton.

Details of service:
Our aim is to keep children within their birth families and to return children that we cared for when the time is right, we will make plans for other permanent care if this is not possible.
We also deal with referrals from the Children's Assessment Team when they have told us that the child needs a core assessment.
