The children and young people we help have already been involved with specialist council services. They have needs that the other services cannot meet.

Details of service:
The child or young person and their family or carers need to understand what services we provide. They all should agree on the referral. All agencies that have worked with the child or young person will continue to be involved with them and their family.

REFERRAL CRITERIA
A combination of the following areas of need:
Our service is available for children and young people aged between 5 –18. The children we help are a combination of some of the following:
• Children and young people who are beyond mainstream social and health services.
• Children and young people who find it difficult to work in mainstream or specialist education.
provision because of the way they behave.
• Children and young people who show extreme behaviour because of mental health problems.
• Children and young people who could cause harm to themselves or others.
• Children and young people whose family or substitute family is at severe risk of breakdown.
• Children and young people whose behaviour is getting more extreme.
• Children and young people who will be able to move their families or substitute families after a short re-assessment of their needs.
