Southampton City Council is conducting a tandem public consultation, to seek views on both:
- Proposed changes to housing policies affecting the decommissioning of properties of tenants and leaseholders in our properties citywide (decommissioning is when the council makes a decision to remodel, redevelop or dispose of a property which would mean the tenants are required to move out of their current residence) and;
- Proposed regeneration of Townhill Park, which will entail decommissioning the remaining properties in the Townhill Park Regeneration Scheme.
Now is your opportunity to have your say. Please fill in the questionnaire and give us your views on the proposals. We are also interested to hear about any ways in which the proposals could affect you or others and any alternatives to the proposals we have put forward.
The deadline for submitting your feedback is Sunday 01 October 2017.
Once the consultations are completed, the feedback from both will be presented to Cabinet in November 2017, who will take this into account when deciding whether or not to change the policies, and whether or not to go ahead with the further regeneration of Townhill Park.
Please take the opportunity to attend one of our drop-in sessions if you would like to find out more and discuss proposals:
- Townhill Park Community Centre: Wednesday 19 July 2017, 3-7pm
- Townhill Park Community Centre: Wednesday 13 September 2017, 3-7pm
Paper copies of the questionnaire and supporting information can be found in Libraries, Gateway, Civic Centre Reception and Townhill Park Community Centre.
