Purpose:
Three focus groups were conducted with Southampton residents in November 2010. The groups aimed to provide insight to help enable the promotion of ‘greener’ behaviours and increased recycling across the City. The report is available at the bottom of the page.
The research aims were:
To understand key drivers and barriers to recycling behaviour
To gauge residents’ knowledge of what they can and can’t recycle
To consider the effectiveness of key information channels
To help identify what more the Council could do to encourage recycling and reduce contamination of recyclable waste
