Results of the home to school transport and post 16 transport policy review (2011-12 academic year)

Purpose:

This consultation was done to review the current provisions for Home to School Transport and Post 16 Transport within Southampton City Council. Local Authorities must by law provide transport help for some students, but may also decide to provide transport help for others. We are consulting about whether we should provide extra help over and above what we must do legally.

The Council reviewed the areas necessary to support parents and children attending school / college against availability of learning places, how easy it is to get around the city, the availability of public transport and school and college travel plans.

The results are linked below and further information on the new policy is available on the on the school travel site also linked below.

Start date:

Tuesday 25th January 2011

End date:

Tuesday 1st March 2011
