Child Poverty Needs Assessment

In March 2010, the Child Poverty Act was passed and it places new duties on local authorities to address the child poverty issues in their area.

We are currently running a local needs assessment and we want to talk to everyone who has a role in tackling child poverty in the city, including parents, children, practitioners and carers. We are looking at all the areas and issues that affect a child’s well-being including housing, education, financial support, health, family and neighbourhood.

If you would like to be involved and tell us what should be included in the Southampton child poverty strategy, please register your interest by contacting us using the details below. We will be in touch with further details of how you can get involved.
