Premises available for Candidates' Meetings

Under the Representation of the People Act 1983, candidates are entitled to use certain rooms free of charge for election meetings. Section 95 makes provision for this right for the purpose of holding public meetings in respect of Parliamentary elections and Section 96 makes equivalent provision for local elections.

A list of school premises available for candidates meetings is available for inspection at the Electoral Services Office, North Block Basement, Civic Centre, Southampton, Monday - Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
