The Mental Health Team

We are funded by Southampton City Council and the Hampshire Partnership Trust.
We support people aged 18 years and above with a mental health difficulty that are also supported by one of the city’s Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT’s).


The CMHT’s are:
• Bay Tree House
• Cannon House
• Hawthorne Lodge


We offer ideas and solutions based on individual needs. We work closely with our clients and employers to assist the client stay in work.


The types of support we offer include:
• The model of supported employment (please see link in side of the page)
• Confidence building
• Mental health awareness for employers.
• Work trials and financial incentives for you and employers

We also run a weekly session focused on work issues i.e. job searching. We also hold a monthly support group (out of hours) if you are already working but would like extra assistance.


People are referred to us through:
• CMHT’s
• General practitioners (referred via a CMHT)
• Health professionals and/or agencies
• The Department of Psychiatry (DOP)
• Self referral enquiries welcome


Clients must meet the criteria of the CMHT’s and live in the City of Southampton.
