Southampton City Council and the European Social Fund (ESF) fund Right to Employment.

We work with people who:

  1. Live in the City of Southampton

  2. Have a severe learning disability

  3. Are looking to find work and/or training.

The project started in January 2004 when City Limits got £438,000 of E.S.F. money.

Due to the success of the project, more money has been offered (£190,000) to us. The project will now end in March 2008.

We will work with 315 people in total. These people will have a severe learning disability and/or complex needs.

We aim to get...

  • 277 people work experience

  • 70 people voluntary work

  • 58 people paid work

  • 452 people on a course

  • Work with 277 employers
