We run the “Real Jobs for Real People” project. A European Social Fund and Southampton City Council funded project.
The project is for people
• With a physical and/or learning disability who attend a day centre
• Living in Southampton
• Attending a sheltered workshop
We give people who enrol on the project a chance to try new things that in the past they have not been able to.
Such as trying:
• Work experience
• Voluntary work
• Paid work
• College or informal learning
With our help people will have more choices giving them a chance to make decisions about their future. We do this by:
• Confidence building
• Increasing social skills
• Giving more options
• Helping people back into the community
Due to funding this project is due to end in March 2008
For more information please contact Kerrie Prowting on 023 8051 2238.
