Volunteer Support Team
The City Limits volunteer support team is looking for people who:
- Want to get back into a work environment
- Would like to build up their CV
- Want experience in the health and care sector
- Fancy a career change
- Want to try something different
- Just have some spare time on their hands.
As a volunteer, you will provide a high quality service to our clients:
- Within one of the day services bases in Southampton
- Out in the community
- Supporting people on a 1 to 1 basis
- Supporting people within their place of work, helping them develop skills and increase their confidence.
What you can get from volunteering?
- You will be offered in-house training
- You will learn new skills
- You will gain good experience to include on your CV or job applications
- You will get support from other team members
- You will have regular meetings with the volunteer coordinator who will support you in your volunteering and help you to move forward
- It will help build your confidence
- You'll have a chance to make some new friends.
Frequently Asked Questions:
As one of our volunteers, you can do as many or as few hours as you want, and at times that suit you.
If you are on benefits, volunteering will not affect them.
As a volunteer, you will not be out of pocket in any way. You will be fully reimbursed for any costs that you incur.

By law you will also need to fill out a criminal disclosure form (police check) before you will be able to work with our clients. You will get this form when you send back your application form.
