Details of service:
The Environment Information Regulations 2004 allows Local Authorities the opportunity to charge a reasonable amount for providing information and to request advance payment. Southampton City Council has chosen to exercise these rights when responding to commercial enquiries (e.g. buying and selling of property), but will waive them where Southampton City Council residents are making enquiries in response to genuine concerns.
Charges are calculated according to rate above. The total charge will be dependant upon the quantity of information that requires collating and a quote will be required to ascertain this.
Responses will be returned within 20 working days of receipt of full payment and/or any further particulars required, subject to any extension time that Southampton City council may be entitled to under the regulations.
Southampton City Council reserves the right to refund payment, full or in part, if any information is withheld in accordance with the regulations.
