What happens to my recycling and rubbish
Your recyclables are collected from your door
They are then taken to a transfer station and then transfered to a materials facility.
The different materials are recovered then machine and hand sorted. The different materials are then baled up.
The bales are then sold on to reprocessors to be recycled
Rubbish is collected from your door
The waste is then taken to a transfer station, from where it is transported and incinerated at the Marchwood Incinerator, where energy is recovered in the form of electricity.
