Check out Quick Choice for the latest bestsellers or browse the shelves. We've made finding books easy - just follow the signs.
Find films and music
Take home everything from classic films to the newest releases on film and all tastes in music. While you are in the library why not sample the latest music on CD at one of the Listening Posts?
Make books and reading stimulating and fun for children
In the Family and Children Zone you will find all the books, videos, dvds and talking books to help your child's imagination and knowledge grow. There are also sofa, toys and children's computers, story times and even an ocean liner to keep your child entertained while you relax.
Log on for free
For the complete beginner or the pro, the Peoples Network lets you email, study, research, surf the net with Broadband, download, learn, print and save - with help to get you started.
Hang out in the Teen Zone
Relax, study, surf the web, meet friends, or catch up on the latest magazines and books.
Connect to resources
Our skilled staff can put you in touch with a vast network of services and resources in the city's libraries and elsewhere, from online learning through Learn Direct, to electronic databases, council services and other sources of help and information.
Hold your meeting or run an activity
There is a meeting room for you to use or why not make use of the library's large space, PC facilities and 42" plasma screen when it is closed? We can move the shelves to create the space you need - large or small - just ask.
Serve yourself
In a hurry, don't want to queue? Issue your books from our easy to use self-service terminal - just follow the pictures on the screen - or return your books, films and music in the special drop box in the foyer.
Have your say
Our aim is to meet your needs, make your visit enjoyable and use of the library as easy as possible. If this hasn't happened, please tell us why.
