Our CAREline telecare service offers you help, security and peace of mind in your own home at the touch of a button. This help is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

CAREline consists of an alarm in your home and a pendant or wristband that can be worn around the house. This equipment connects to a local monitoring and responding team that make sure you get help when an alarm is raised.

How does the service work?

Your pendant and ‘home unit’ are linked to our call centre so that in an emergency a simple push of the button will connect you directly to our support service.

One of our friendly CAREline team will talk to you through the home unit to establish whether you are okay. If they can’t reach you then they will know who you are and where you live, so that they can get you help if necessary.

The action taken will depend on our ability to talk with you and establish your wellbeing. If there is an issue we may contact your chosen key holder, your doctor, emergency services or send out a member of the CAREline team (a responder) as appropriate.

Is CAREline for me?

CAREline is available to anyone who wants some reassurance that they can call for help quickly and easily in case of an emergency.

The only restriction is that you must live in Southampton or within 20 miles of the city boundaries.

What services are available?

Gold service - Monitoring and responding service

Includes home unit, pendant alarm, access to our 24/7 call centre and our emergency responder service.

Our trained responders will need access to your property in the event of an emergency so you will need a secure key safe with a coded access system on the exterior of your property.

We can arrange for a key safe to be supplied and fitted or you can choose to buy and fit one yourself. You just need to let us know the access code so we can use the safe in an emergency.

This service is only available for Southampton residents.

Silver service - Monitoring service and personal contacts

Includes home unit, pendant alarm, and access to our 24/7 call centre.

You will need to have two personal contacts who are key holders, and are willing to respond and go to your home when required.

Your contacts must be able to access your property and live local to you so they can respond if needed. At least one of them must live at a different address to you.

This service is for Southampton residents and people that live within 20 miles of Southampton.
