Southampton was the first council to introduce community safety officers in the UK. The Community Safety Team provides high visibility patrols throughout the city between the hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, taking action to provide a better, cleaner, safer city by tackling:
Anti-social behaviour in its many forms
Litter
Rubbish dumping
Abandoned vehicles
Fly posting
Graffiti
Fly tipping
Stray dogs
Dog fouling
