Frequently asked questions about housing support for older people

Am I eligible to apply?

If you fit the age criteria for the range of accommodation we offer you will also need to be eligible to go onto the housing register. Not everyone qualifies to go on the housing register and you can check your eligibility in the find a home section, or contact the housing advice line on 023 8083 2777.

Can I bring my pet with me?

We do allow most pets to be kept as long as they do not become a nuisance to other tenants. However, there are restrictions on dogs in most of our housing complexes. You can get further information on this by phoning the housing advice line on 023 8083 2777.

Can I bring my mobility scooter with me?

There is nothing to stop you storing your scooter in your flat, as long as it does not cause damage and can be kept in there safely. Some of our housing complexes have purpose built stores for scooters.

Do I have to pay?

As with all our accommodation, there is a rent charge as well as some associated service charges, most of which are eligible for housing benefit and external funding that the service receives. Our staff can explain more about this to you.
