| Southampton City Council works with housing associations to meet the need and demand for affordable housing in Southampton through the Southampton Affordable Housing Partnership. In 2006/07 589 new homes were developed. The partnership has a target to develop 2000 new affordable homes between 2007-2012 and consists of Southampton City Council and 7 Registered Social Landlords who are: |
• Aster Housing Group • Atlantic Housing • Hermitage Housing Association • Hyde Housing Association • Sovereign Housing Association • Swaythling Housing Society • Western Challenge Housing Association |

More information about how to apply for new affordable homes developed for rent through the partnership can be accessed through the council’s housing waiting list (Homebid) and for new homes developed for affordable low cost sale can be accessed through Homes in Hants.
