Service details

City’s Energy Efficiency advice service can provide advice or guidance on how to keep your home warm and save money, how to reduce your energy usage and therefore reduce your carbon emissions.

Reducing Fuel Poverty is a key priority for the City. (See the 'related documents' in the right hand window). This free service helps residents to easily access all the available resources to help reduce fuel poverty. These include the Warm Front scheme, and the free or subsidised insulation schemes. The service is available to all city residents. The primary focus is to help owner occupiers and those in private rented accommodation.

Free cavity and loft insulation for over 70's

If you are over 70 find out how you can get free home insulation.

Energy Performance Certificates

Energy Performance Certificates – what do they mean for you? From 1 October 2008, an EPC will be required whenever a building in the social or private rented sectors is let to a new tenant.
