Southampton Accreditation Scheme for Student Housing (SASSH)
Southampton City Council works in partnership with the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University to promote the SASSH (Southampton Accreditation Scheme for Student Housing) programme for shared private rented sector properties advertised through educational institutions.

The Scheme was launched in January 2003. The Standards are not intended to be onerous and are divided into three separate categories (One Star, Two Star and Three Star) allowing landlords to achieve greater recognition for properties meeting the appropriate criteria. Please see downloads on the right for the SASSH standards for the letting period commencing 1st July 2008.
If you are a landlord and wish to accredit properties through the scheme, you will need to read through all of the downloads on the right and submit a registration form and appropriate documents to:
