Get to grips with your Christmas presents

If you were lucky enough to find a laptop, tablet or smart phone in your Christmas stocking but don’t know how to use your gift, let us show you how easy it is to get started.

If you were lucky enough to find a laptop, tablet or smart phone in your Christmas stocking but don’t know how to use your gift, let us show you how easy it is to get started.

We run regular, free training sessions just for tenants and leaseholders to help more of you learn how to get online and benefit from all the Internet has to offer.

If you, or your neighbours, friends and family are struggling with how to get to grips with technology, or maybe you’re not even sure how to turn on your new device, then let us show you how.

Our free sessions are relaxed and informal and open to all tenants and leaseholders, even if you have no experience of computers at all.

You can meet new people, have fun and learn at your own pace, and you’ll soon find that you are surfing the Internet and sending emails in no time!

Don’t worry if you don’t have your own tablet, phone or laptop, you can use one of our devices.

Remember, you can access the Internet free of charge at your local library, and many libraries even offer free computer training help and support too. Plus, there is lots of other free IT help and advice across the city.

We want more tenants and leaseholders to unlock the benefits of the Internet and access all the council services that are now available online.

From reading Tenants’ Link to paying your rent, reporting repairs or even renewing your library books; you can do so much online from the comfort of your own sofa without having to leave home and brave the wintery weather outdoors.

We offer a range of IT-related training workshops throughout the year, ranging from how to take photos with an iPad, navigating around the council website, to writing a successful blog. Get in touch to find out more.

January workshops include special sessions to help more people access Tenants Link online and learn how to use new gadgets received for Christmas. They will take place on:

  • Wednesday, 10 January 2018, 2 – 4pm at The Graylings, Off Beechfield Court, Regents Park Road, SO15 8NB
