Latest news: First Southampton Academy gains planning approval

Plans for Oasis Academy Mayfield have been approved by the city council's planning panel. Subject to a Government Review of the Academies programme, work could get underway as soon as October this year.

In the meantime, we are pledging £13.1 of investment to our city's schools. Read the announcement made by Councillor Paul Holmes, Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Safeguarding, on Wednesday 14 July.
