Latest news: Government go-ahead for our Academies

Sculpture

The Government has confirmed funding for Southampton's two academy building projects. This is great news for the city. Our planning application for Oasis Academy Mayfield has already been approved and now work could get underway as soon as October this year. Find out more about our Academy Programme.

We have also pledged £13.1 of investment for other city schools. Read the announcement made by Councillor Paul Holmes, Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Safeguarding, last month.
