There are a variety of schools in Southampton providing education for children up to 16 years of age.

This page lists the different schools within the boundary of Southampton City Council with links to their websites, and has a location map which you can use to find your nearest school.

Southampton schools are marked on the map on the left. The different school types are colour coded as follows:

Primary schools - blue
Infant schools - red
Junior schools - green
Secondary schools - turquoise
Special schools - yellow
Independent schools - pink
Pupil Referral Unit and Inclusion Support Services - purple

6. Early years provision and pupil support

Compass School The service offers support to young people who are excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Based at the Compass Site.
Hardmoor Early Years Centre This is funded by Southampton City Council for children aged between three and four.
Startpoint Northam This is funded by Southampton City Council for children aged between three and four.
Startpoint Sholing This is funded by Southampton City Council for children aged between three and four.
Southampton Children's Hospital School An alternative provision academy and residential unit for pupils with a range of medical conditions, based at Southampton General Hospital.
