Education welfare service

We provide a social work service in schools to try and raise attendance. We want our young people to make the best of the opportunities they have. We use different methods of finding out what is causing a young person not to attend school. This could be anything from social to emotional and motivational issues.

We also support schools and offer advice and guidance. Our main client is the child, but we also work with families and professionals. For this we offer supervision for staff, as well as supervision training. We also provide other training under the banner of Inspire Education Welfare courses.

We have a statutory duty to promote the attendance of children in the city and we can use legal means to make this happen if needed.
