Art Asia, the Mela organisers are busy working behind the scenes planning this year’s event. Art Asia Chief Executive and the Mela’s Artistic Director said.

“Last year we saw 23,000 people attend the Southampton Mela Festival and it is now one of the city’s biggest free events, that is a reputation that we are proud of and work hard to keep. We programme great performers and fun activities for the Southampton and surrounding communities. We are also really pleased in this time of tighter purse strings that we are able to keep the event free.”
