Santa Dash: 14 December

It's back! For the second year running this community charity event will return to Southampton Common. The emphasis is on fun as all competitiors will be given a Santa suit to compete in. The entry fee is only £12 and this will include your Santa suit and competitors medal.

Organisers are hoping for 500 Santa’s to take to the common in December. The event will be in aid of a great local charity, Wessex Heartbeat. Set up in 1992, Wessex Heartbeat is one of the region's major charities and ensures that the best possible care is provided for all those affected by heart conditions. Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton General Hospital is one of the UK's leading heart treatment centres treating around 20,000 people a year, a thousand of which are children.
