Platinum health and fitness hosted its 3rd members’ evening on Friday 30 May with a night of top class stand-up comedy at The Rose Bowl’s Hampshire Suite. Over 200 guests were entertained by three fantastic comedians. Matt Price opened the show and used his sharp West-Country wit to get the audience involved in the festivities. Drew Cameron’s act featured some comical impressions and songs involving a huge box of props. Paul Kerensa – the night’s headline act – provided a great finale to the stand-up with a series of hilarious one-liners.
Loads of fantastic prizes were won on the night in a special prize draw. Winners included Alison Clark, who grabbed a year’s free Platinum membership, and Terry James, who won a set of 5-day free golf passes for the Municipal Golf Course. Other prizes snapped up included tickets to the Mayflower and exciting climbing wall sessions at St Mary’s Leisure Centre.
Our next members' evening
The next Platinum members’ evening is planned for later in the year. Possible themes for the event are a karaoke and quiz night, a ‘murder mystery’ evening or a funky 70’s disco. We would love to hear your thoughts about future events, so if you have any suggestions simply email leisure.marketing@southampton.gov.uk
