Free Swimming - Terms and Conditions
- Free recreational swimming and club benefits are only available to children aged under 12 years who live in a household that pays council tax to Southampton City Council.

- Proof of council tax payment to Southampton City Council in the form of a council tax bill or statement must be presented when signing up to the club (those exempt from council tax must produce an exemption notice).

- All existing Under 12’s Club memberships which began prior to August 1, 2008 will continue to be honoured.

- On reaching the age of 12, the child will automatically cease to be a member of the Under 12’s Club, and will be classed as a Junior member.

- Parents/guardians are required to complete an Under 12’s club application form per child and may be requested to provide proof of age for their child.

- Free use applies to recreational and public swim sessions only. Only one session per child, per day. Access to these sessions is subject to availability, on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and cannot be pre-booked. A band system may be operated during busy sessions.

- Customers must abide by the venues’ admission policies at all times. Southampton City Council reserves the right to refuse entry.

- Any children aged under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person of at least 16 years.

- A maximum of 2 children aged 4-7 years will be allowed per responsible person. A maximum of 1 child aged under 4 will be allowed per responsible person.

Upon reaching the age of twelve, children will cease to be a member of the club. Children can continue to use their Leisure Venues card to access the venues, although a fee will be applied for recreational swimming from twelve years of age.
