Exhibitions

Southampton Archives has two permanent exhibition spaces in the South Block of the Civic Centre building. We have six showcases on the first floor, just outside the Council Chambers and two showcases in the main foyer.

An exhibition exploring sources at Southampton Archives which can help you find out more about your ancestor. Six different occupations are showcased: a seaman, a property owner, a shopkeeper, a WW1 soldier, a mayor and a criminal

'Secret Histories'
To celebrate the National Year of Reading a display of six personal diaries held in the Archives dating from the 17th to the 20th centuries
