Hinkler Green
Although we did not achieve the Green Flag award for Hinkler Green in 2008, the enthusiasm of the local community and the new Friends group continues. The council and the Friends will continue to work together to improve the park for the whole community to enjoy. We will use the feedback from the Green Flag judges to develop the action plan and hope to achieve the award in the future.

Hinkler Green is located in the centre of the Thornhill area. The local community have been very much involved in the recent improvements to the green that have included a new multi use games area and a skate park funded through Thornhill Plus You and the council. These have made a real difference to the green and the overall area. The Friends of Hinkler Green are keen to continue improving the park for the whole community to enjoy.
