Details of service:

The sponsored tree scheme allows individuals or groups to sponsor a tree in Southampton. You can either sponsor a recently planted tree in the central parks or a new tree can be planted in one of the other parks in the city.

A certificate is provided including details of the location of the tree and the species of the tree. The tree will generally be of an extra heavy standard, supported either by a stake and tree restraint or by underground anchors in a mulched tree pit with an irrigation tube.

The tree will receive a minimum of one inspection a year for the first ten years and necessary maintenance work will be carried out. Southampton City Council guarantee to replace the tree should it die or become irretrievably damaged during the first five years of its establishment.
