Family history club

The family history club is an informal gathering of those researching their family roots. It meets in the local studies and maritime library on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm. There is usually a short talk on an aspect of family history, with time for individual family research later. We also maintain a list of members' interests where you can check for anyone researching your family. The club is free - please contact the local studies and maritime library for more information. If you would like to become a member, email or phone with your postal address and we will add you to the mailing list.

Next meetings -

6 August - Members' Evening

3 September - Royal Navy - Other Ranks

1 Ocober - Record offices we have known

5 November - Censuses, problems and pitfalls
