Anyone can use the resources, but the teaching resources are specifically aimed at essential skills tutors. Essential skills tutors can apply for a special card and can borrow 30 items for a 6 week loan period.

The teaching resources are suitable for use by tutors and by learners who wish to brush up on their English and Maths skills. There is also a wide range of fiction in the collection. These books are ideal for anyone wanting to improve reading skills or “get back into reading”.
Quick Reads – ideal for customers who don’t have much time to read and are available in all libraries
Fiction material and "First Choice" collections in additon to teaching resources are available at Central, Bitterne and Lordshill libraries
