If you are assessed as being eligible for support from Adult Social Care you will be given a Personal Budget to buy the services that you want and that meet the eligible support needs you have identified. This means that you will have more control over your care and the funding for your care. Having a Support Plan helps you to manage your care and to review how things are going.
What our customers have said about receiving a Personal Budget:
"I have a choice over who my carer is"
"I can do the things that I want to do"
"I have more independence"
"I get to go out more"
"I can get the care to come at a time that suits me"
"If I am unhappy with a care agency’s service it is much easier to change to another agency"
