Mental Health Employment

City Limits provides one-to-one support for individuals with mental health difficulties. The aim of the service is to help people to access paid or voluntary work or training. The support provided is based upon the model of supported employment, and can include:

Job search activities / CV writing / completing application forms
Confidence building
Interview preparation and/or attending interviews
Disclosure advice
Benefits advice
Work trials
Job coaching alongside individuals where needed

Mental health awareness for employers
Job retention (if employed)

The project is funded by Southampton City Council and the Hampshire NHS Partnership Trust.

To be eligible, a person should be 18 years and above and be supported by one of the city's Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) for severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

Referrals through all secondary care providers in Southampton can be accepted subject to meeting the criteria.
