The MLD Employment Service is provided through City Limits. City Limits is funded by Southampton Learning Disability Partnership Board to provide specialist support to young people aged 18+ who have a moderate learning disability.
Support is provided for individuals to access employment, education or training. The service is provided on a one-to-one basis with each person having their own named employment officer. Services offered include:
- confidence building activities
- support with Job applications / CVs
- support to find paid or voluntary work
- work experience
- work trials
- support in work / job coaching
- specialist support for young people who are disabled or have learning difficulties
