Supporting People Employment

City Limits provides one-to-one support for individuals and holds weekly drop-in sessions at various Supporting People hostels across Southampton. The aim of the service is to help people to access paid or voluntary work or training. Support provided is tailor-made to meet an individual’s needs, and can include:

  • helping someone to access training
  • job search activities
  • CV creation
  • completing application forms
  • preparation and support to attend interviews
  • on the job support
  • disclosure advice
  • benefits advice

To be eligible for support, a person must be aged 16-65, and be living in, or having very recently moved on from a Supporting People hostel. Referrals should be made through a key worker.
