Communities

The Drug Action team (DAT) works to reduce the availability of drugs and on a number of community projects.

Current activities include:

  • reviewing drug litter reporting and mapping
  • developing publicity materials such as leaflets and posters
  • work with BME communities to improve access to drug services
  • advice and information stands at certain public events and universities throughout the year

Drug and Alcohol Reference Groups

The DAT links to community and voluntary sector groups through the independent Drug and Alcohol Reference Group (DARG). This group provides a forum within which members are able to discuss issues and exchange information.
