Access to Tier 4 services is generally by referral from a Tier 3 service. People are referred to residential rehabilitation and detoxification through the New Road Centre. Other services are accessed through the client’s GP.
Residential substance misuse services include:
- residential detoxification units
- residential rehabilitation units
- specific centres for particular groups
Highly specialised non-substance misuse specific services include:
- specialised psychiatric unit/hospitals
- HIV/blood borne virus specialist units
- liver treatment unit (Hospital)
