Glen Lee

Glen Lee signGlen Lee, located in Bitterne, aims to provide a service which is tailored to each individual resident. The home provides residential accommodation for people who have medium to high levels of dementia. It has been decorated to create a physical environment which promotes choice and independence.

Glen Lee is set in large grounds and has an enclosed garden which contains a sensory wood. This is a woodland pathway, with hand rails, which contains colourful objects, such as ornamental butterflies and wind chimes to stimulate the senses of people suffering from dementia.

The garden is a popular area for residents during the summer months where entertainment is held on a regular basis. There is also a regular programme of social events and organised entertainment. Activities, organised by staff, are held every day.
