Coxford community centre

Coxford community centre was purpose built in 1994. It is an unusual site that hosts a multi-use games area, an enclosed playground and backs on to the large open space of Coxford Copse and Lordsdale Greenway making it a great party venue where kids can let off steam.

The hall can be used for group activities and children's parties, it is popular with both the Philippino and Polish communities. Also available for meetings is the newly refurbished office. The Healthier You group and a Bingo night are two of the evening activities that are currently on offer at the centre.

2. Volunteer

The centre is run by local volunteers who are responsible for the day to day running of the community centre and are always happy to hear from potential new volunteers. Are you interested in your local community and helping run a community meeting place? Anyone living in the area who would like to help is welcome to join. All types of skills are needed; secretaries, treasurers and lettings officers etc. If you don’t want a specific role don’t worry. All centres want community minded, enthusiastic people to help whatever their level of involvement. Most volunteers find it only takes a couple of hours a month.

Other The centre has a free community notice board and a For Sale board, a small charge applies. Notices are displayed at the discretion of the Association
